Okay, so… Originally, I intended to update about Zelda: Twilight Princess each time I progressed past one or two more dungeons. Instead, I was lazy – and guess what? I completed the game yesterday clocking in around just under 40 hours, with nearly max completion (sorry, I just didn’t like Poe hunting, even though I was only missing about 10 by the end of the game). Overall, the game was quite fun and enjoyable, even though the first hours were a bit lackluster.
My take on some things:
- The music and overall atmosphere of the game was a bit darker, which was pretty nice.
Zant was a great way to do the boss rematches. Genius. Very fun.
Bug hunting is fun. Poe hunting is not. Plus the reward for all 60 Poes is useless.
Agitha is a cutie-pie. I’m certain her riches come from her excessive cuteness which condenses into rupee form.
The showdown with Ganon (final form) was a bit boring. I much prefer the battle from Wind Waker.
The Lakebed Temple and City in the Sky dungeons were boring, although the setting for the boss fight in Sky was great.
Definitely needed to be more useful ways to spend rupees. The Magic Armor was a useless buy for me, and so was the process of getting it to a realistic price.
The overall difficulty of the bosses was pretty low; something the Zelda series has been needing to work on a bit.
They could have done more the object warping deal. Finding objects scattered all over the world and warping them to rebuild an entire village would have been neat, a la Baten Kaitos 2 or some such. Pretty sure theres some older games with something similar but I can’t think of them off the top of my head.
Link has awkward facial expressions, especially the ones involving any mouth movement.
Wind Waker Zelda is cuter than her Twilight Princess incarnation.

I probably missed a few other things I wanted to mention, but it’s late.
