GIVE. ME. NOW.
Grim Grimoire has been my most recent upcoming game that I’ve become obsessed about. It’s… delicious looking. Seriously. It’s got the music to back up the visuals as well, with Hitoshi Sakimoto composing.
The first press comes with a soundtrack CD and postcard book, so I’ll be getting this for sure. Sorry, but there’s been no announcement for localization for this one. Definitely expect video coverage from me though.
Edit: Looks like a US release has been announced! Expect Grim Grimoire to come in June 2007.

Next we have what could be considered the spiritual successor to Princess Crown, Odin Sphere. From Vanillaware – the same company making Grim Grimoire, this one also has Sakimoto composing. As much as I hate to use the same explanation twice in the same post, Odin Sphere is also very delicious looking. This is jaw-dropping 2-D stuff here. And hey, it’s coming out in the US! Although, it is marked as a “Late Spring 2007″ release. Not bad, right? The Japanese version hits shelves May 17th, so late Spring doesn’t sound too bad at all.
Last but certainly not least, we have Jeanne d’Arc, from the makers of Rogue Gala-hey, where are you going?! Sure, it’s by Level 5. However, this is their first go at a strategy RPG, and it looks wonderful. There’s just one problem though. I don’t own a PSP! This is hitting the US in August, so I expect to break down before then… maybe.
