Whee… I finished Persona 3 yesterday. Clocked in at about 70 hours, level 76. I’ll probably head into Monad later… maybe. Maxed out a good amount of Social Links, or at least the ones I gave a damn about anyways. Good stuff. I especially enjoyed the last battle, but it also made me realize how stupid the AI controlling your other characters can be. Well, that and the fact that when he’s really weak he starts to spam an attack which does damage + a random status effect. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing when he charmed Yukari and she Diarahan’ed him to full… but even that is kind of fun, in a weird, masochistic way. It certainly made up for the jokes that were Jin and Takaya.

The AI is pretty much the only major thing I have a gripe about, but that’s just for the last battle. It works fine for just about everything else in the entire game. Other sorts of minor things I’d like to mention would be that I hate the voice actor for Ken. Or maybe I just hate little kids in games… well not cute ones. I think it’s both. She does the voice for the main character in Blue Dragon, which will probably make me rub my forehead a bit more than usual. Speaking of which, I still have mixed feelings on getting Blue Dragon. It’ll be hard to find something else to pass the time until Trusty Bell though. Or will it? Sigh… I dunno.

In random news, I’m hearing great things about Jeanne D’Arc. Give it a shot if you’ve got a PSP.

No, Ken’s voice is pretty poor. Aside from the one scream he belts out at a certain moment and his level up quote, he’s pretty “whatev”.

HOWEVER! I’m suprised you made no mention of the pup! I’m embarassed to say I talk to that thing almost every day (and it only says one thing back most of the time). Freaking wicked having a dog around kicking ass.

One of my griped was that the A.I. would sometimes think it better to do nothing at all than even stats boosting stuff. boo.

Other randoms: Maya was jokes to listen to, I still get excited to hear them cuss in the game (rare for J-RPGs), Tartarus is long, Mitsuru needs to think of shit other than school, and the music was funky fun.

Hope YOU liked the game, you seem to have anticipated it quite a bit.

    Lates.

lol The ! ! really does look weird when you cut it out like that. Little square blocks in their faces.
